How to Make Your Computer Run Faster - Defrag Unused Files Programs

Remove Old and Unused Files

Leaving old files that are no longer in use on your computer can hugely affect the way your computer responds. When you have so much files that are not in use on your computer, these files take up a certain
amount of your disk space and leave a portion of your hard drive dormant.
Deleting these files will bring about a noticeable difference in the way your computer performs. You should also uninstall programs that you think you are no longer going to use from your computer. This can be done under the programs and features settings in the control panel.

Defrag Hard Disk

Your hard disk gets cluttered when you’ve moved files into it and out of it over a long period of time. The result is that several segments are created into your hard drive during the course of you deleting and putting new files on it. This is what is known as disk fragmentation.
When your hard disk gets fragmented, it will take longer time to load applications, which ultimately affects the performance of your computer and other programs on it. Decrementing your computer’s hard drive will help remove the several segments that have built up in it and build it up as a whole single segment.

Stop Background Programs

Certain programs run on background on your computer, making your computer’s random access memory or RAM to be committed to do more task than required. These programs always make your computer perform slower by reducing the amount of RAM space other programs will process on.
