State run PSU BSNL, which offers high speed data cards on
both 3G as well as EVDO technologies, has launched two more data plans
for EVDO prepaid customers. These two new plans are priced at Rs.200 &
Rs399 and offer 2GB and 5GB data respectively. Both the STV’s have
validity of 30 days. For any additional usage beyond free the charges are 10
paise/100 kB during peak hours and 5 paise/ 100kB during non peak hours.
BSNL EVDO based data cards are based on CDMA EDVO
technology, the same technology used by Tata Photon ,Reliance netconnect &
MTS. The other data card services in the market are GSM based 2G or 3G
services. BSNL EVDO data cards come at the price of Rs. 1199.
