Nokia puts wireless charging into airports and coffee shops handset special battery compatible

Nokia announced its new Lumia 920 device – and the big USP was wireless charging.

The phones are compatible with the Qi standard, and Nokia has created its own Fatboy "pillow" unit to
make it work. The technology is also built into the handset itself, meaning there's no need for a special battery cover.

But clearly, the clincher will be getting other locations on board. Which is why Nokia has sealed deals with Virgin to introduce wireless charging to Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Lounges from November 1st to January 31st 2013.
